After working as management consultant with a focus on corporate management, quality management and sales management he received his PhD in 2003, in the same year co-founder of the degree programme Sales Engineering and Product Management (SEPM) and assuming the position of course coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"rub-text\">Luis Barrantes is a member of the advisory panel \u201cTechnical Sales and Product Management\u201d and the panel of experts \u201cFA 201 Sales and Marketing\u201d and \u201cFA 206 Profile Sales Engineer\u201d, previously \u201cFA 206 Formation of Sales Engineers\u201d, of the Association of German Engineers (VDI). He is co-author of various VDI guidelines, including \u201cVDI 4501 Occupational field Technical Sales\u201d and \u201cVDI 4506 Strategic Sales\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"rub-text\">His main research interests include: general business administration, sales engineering and controlling, B2B marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"rub-text\">Luis Barrantes is the initiator of the Academic Association of Sales Engineering (AASE).
